The Objectives of the US Ground Military Operation Against Iran

Given the impossibility of escaping the quagmire into which the US and Israel have sunk in the war they initiated against Iran, the objectives of the US ground military invasion of Iran are not, in reality, any of those mentioned by Trump and his administration, but quite different.

Donald Trump is no longer seeking to win the war, nor even to achieve any of the objectives he has stated he has, but only an exit that appears to have a certain degree of victory, although, apparently, without anticipating at all what will happen after their departure anyway.

This escape with a false appearance of success would be the simulation of having extracted from Iran the uranium they claim to intend to seize, although to do so they need to somehow show, or simulate with a minimum degree of credibility, that they at least set foot in Iran, even though they did not achieve or extract anything there.

The invasion must be carried out in such a way that the US doesn't suffer excessively significant losses while simultaneously being visible and publicized enough to create the impression—aided by another barrage of lies from Trump and his administration—that it was successful.

Most likely, they will quickly stage fabricated scenes, such as US military personnel transporting the material in some vehicle, supposedly on Iranian and/or US soil, accompanied—of course, by false statements from Trump and his cronies with highly specific data, including even the exact or approximate weight of the enriched material seized from Iran, and other equally false details, along with—as always—a huge amount of grandiose self-praise, such as that it was a surprise lightning operation that only the most powerful army in the world, that of the United States and Donald Trump, would be capable of carrying out.

In this charade, they will emphasize a fabricated element of surprise consisting of a great intelligence operation and the discovery of the uranium despite Iran having hidden it where they assumed it couldn't be found.

Thus, they simultaneously plan to minimize their own losses and casualties by invading a site that the Iranians, logically, do not have well protected. This would also align with their planned presumption of having surprised them by not being misled and discovering the true location where the uranium was hidden.

To make all this more believable, of course, the invasion will not be covert or secret, but rather spectacular, conspicuous, and scandalous, accompanied by bombings and, essentially, photographic and video cameras, and very likely, some satellite images showing significant damage from their attacks.

Since all the options for ending this war are inconvenient for Donald Trump, and considering his usual methods of trying to construct reality through wholesale lies, this is the exit that the President of the United States must currently see as the least risky and most viable.

Furthermore, considering that the Iranians in this case are not going to present any material proof that the whole thing was a hoax—since they are unlikely to display their uranium for that purpose, or even claim that it was never where it was supposedly found—Trump, of course, will be prepared to present, with every imaginable lie in detail, anything of the sort.

This plan also possibly includes a variant consisting of first testing the waters and advancing with attacks as far as possible, and, if it proves too difficult, impossible, or too costly to continue, withdrawing in this defeatist yet supposedly victorious manner.

Therefore, the ground attack is essential for Trump and his administration because it offers them, in the event of crashing against an impenetrable wall, as they themselves already consider likely, a simultaneous, seemingly victorious exit, from their extremely naive and desperate perspective.

This is the "easy" way out that Trump is undoubtedly considering, although, of course, with enormous naiveté because of what logically follows from this way of escaping, without having yet paid for the crimes and mass destruction inflicted, as I detailed earlier in my article The disastrous defeat of the United States and Israel in the Middle East.
